Paul MacDonell Laughton was Professor of Chemistry at Carleton University from 1952 until his retirement in 1989.
Throughout his career, Professor Laughton was heavily involved in the university community, serving on a number of academic and non-academic committees. He served as Chairman of the Library Committee, Science Committee as well as acting Chairman for the Committee on Curriculum. He was concerned with the bettering of on-campus life for students and the over all improvement of student services. Textual records relating to the Department of Chemistry as well as various University Committees are contained within the fonds.
